What is the most important aspect of Tibia? The players, of course! There are certain players whose names are familiar across every server, but here at TibiaNews, we believe every player has something interesting to say! We are introducing a new section that will star random players, including YOU! We intend to visit every server and ask questions of regular players about Tibia and Tibian culture, attitudes and gameplay. Everyone has a story and we at TibiaNews, your trusted Tibian newspaper, want to hear what you have to say! This week, we take a look at players' opinions on the upcoming winter update and the features it has to offer.

Our first journey took us to Magera, where we found Dhiamax, level 40 master sorcerer roaming around, so decided to stop him in his tracks and ask him some questions too!

Dhiamax: good

TibiaNews: How do you feel about Mounts being added to the game?
Uncle Barney Stinson: Well its an old proposition and I am glad CIP really listens to it's users, but I think the game is not properly designed for such things, I also believe its taking them time away from other features that need to be fixed.
TibiaNews: Going along with some of the other features that need to be fixed, do you think sitting in chairs should at least be added as well, perhaps even before mounts?
Uncle Barney Stinson: well sitting in chairs would be a nice feature for people who are more into the social part of the MMORPG so I guess few people would be happy with that, on the other hand most people like the hunting and leveling part of this game so CIP does not focus too much on the social part, I think mounting is better than sitting in chairs for that reason
TibiaNews: It's sad that the RPGing part of this game seems to be winding down a lot more than in the past. With that said, are you looking forward to the winter update?
Uncle Barney Stinson: I am, I like this game, I've played it for at least 7 years and in that time people say its just straight dow, but I also consider the good things they have implemented /fixed and I hope they fix some with this new update
TibiaNews: What do you expect CipSoft to also release in the winter update?
Uncle Barney Stinson: I hope they add new quests for players over lvl 100 as well as some more balanced hunting grounds

Jaksus: hello.. uhm. I guess i can answer a few questions.
TibiaNews: \o/
TibiaNews: How do you feel about Mounts being added to the game? (as seen on the front page of the Tibia site)
Jaksus: I'm wondering how yet another speedboost 'item' will influence current pvp and pvm. In pvp forcing even those that do not want to use mounts to use them and in pvm about advantages in gives to mages and paladins, but not really knights.
Jaksus: besides that, i dont dislike the idea, but im not a great fan of it either :p
TibiaNews: Do you feel like knights are unbalanced and have a disadvantage as opposed to the other vocations?
Jaksus: thats a pretty complex topic. in general i dont like using words such as "unbalanced", "overpowered" or similar..however, for me, knights have the least of a so-called "fun factor."  as in, least amount of hunting options, least amount of different ways to hunt, least amount of possibilities to change equipment (that would be useful and meaningful, that is). judging by that, in terms of solo hunting, yes, knights are in a disadvantage. of course we also have pvp issues, where knights are obviously least useful in killing, and taking damage doesnt compensate anything..
TibiaNews: That's actually why I don't play a knight; paladins and mages are much more independent, hehe.
Jaksus: yep. But at the same time i love knights. Thats why i wont ever change my main :P
TibiaNews: Moving forward, do you think it’s a bit ridiculous that we still will not be able to sit in chairs with the upcoming winter update, but we could sit on mounts? What’s up with that? Haven't Tibians been wanting to simply "sit down" for years now?
Jaksus: i still cling to the image of a knight-the melee master. Not some meatwall.. i think tibians wanted mounts for years now aswell. I assume it was less work to make graphics for mounts + outfits + addons than to make graphics for ALL kinds of couches, chairs etc + outfits + addons. but honestly, neither is important for me.
TibiaNews: Going back to the poll in September 2010, 34.48 % voted for "an auction house," where only 32.48 % voted for "mounts." Do you think that they should have implemented that instead?
Jaksus: First of all i think that a difference of 2% is a really small one. If they chose an auction house, would you ask why didnt they chose mounts? :p  I think cip implemented what they could finish in time.. or perhaps what they though will be more 'spectacular" so to speak. because, seriously, an auction house isnt a thrilling thing. There was Mirade's post somewhere, an answer to a question about vocation balancing this update, that said she wont spoil any teasers.... so that made me curious, as i am waiting for that since a few years ago when i actually quit playing. There may be hope :p
TibiaNews: What has been your favorite update so far?
Jaksus: oh, thats a hard question..im searching deep in my memory and the only thing that comes to my mind is ankrahmun, especially when they added deeper tombs
TibiaNews: Hehe, a lot of people have had the same answer so far! Maybe this means something for CipSoft to think about ... Do you have any expectations for this winter update? Whether it be about balancing as Mirade has posted, or something else?
Jaksus: perhaps, perhaps... I havent seen the last update though so i might not be fair :P
Jaksus: expectations, no. Im just curious about all the balancing work. Curious enough to make me think about getting pacc, if i like what i see.
TibiaNews: Hehe, I guess we'll see soon enough! :)

Krwista Dziewoja: Well it's great change in game. We will see what they brings into gameplay
TibiaNews: Do you think sitting in chairs should at least be added as well? I mean, players have been standing for over 10 years now!
Krwista Dziewoja: Ofc. More reality in game is always welcome :) I like rpg part of this game. However it's mostly dead ^^
TibiaNews: What steps do you think CipSoft should take to try and revive the roleplaying of this game?
Krwista Dziewoja: Make the game a little bit more harder and force players to team play. Now everything can be done alone :) (at least most things)
TibiaNews: Do you think world quests (such as Devovorga and the Lightbearer) is a good foot forward in that aspect?
Krwista Dziewoja: they req some adjustments. Lightbearer on Nerana was done by... 8-10 ppl with army of noobchars. Hard to find ppl to cooperate in such hard and time-consuming quest.
TibiaNews: Are you looking forward to the winter update?
Krwista Dziewoja: As always :) I hope I will not be dissapointed this time.
TibiaNews: What disappointed you in the last update?
Krwista Dziewoja: No real changes. Just making everything easier and more profitable. I think it's not good way for tibia.
TibiaNews: What has been your favorite update so far?
Krwista Dziewoja: Probably this one with wands... Just becouse it was my first update.
TibiaNews: Do you have any expectations for CipSoft for the winter update?
Krwista Dziewoja: That they will deal with botters. That's the biggest problem in game atm.
TibiaNews: Do you think their anti-bot system and the revision of rule enforcement (eliminating gamemasters) was a step in the right direction?
Krwista Dziewoja: Small step, with some mistakes (like removing GMs) but in right direction.
