Application Rules, Requirements, and Sample Format

Required with your resume, a submission of a real shortnews of your choice and a sample Picture of the Day (PotD) or Article
-PM a Deputy Editor or Publisher, include your shortnews in your post, or fill the following form with a Real Shortnews of your choice.
Just make sure you post APPLICATION in the body!

Typically, this only means you will have access to the Internal Boards where other players discuss ideas and initiatives about how to improve TibiaNews. Articles and other surprises are also cooked there!

The Current Positions are for TibiaNews Journalist
If you are interested in becoming a moderator or an administrator, the journalist position is the first step you should take. After a time as an active journalist member, you will be considered to join the other groups participating on TibiaNews. Moderators are chosen out of the TibiaNews staff and are picked because of their character and dedication to TibiaNews along with activity on the forum.

TibiaNews and You
TibiaNews lives thanks to the news and events written by its collaborators from everywhere in Tibia. Without all those players that take their time to report about what is happening in the exciting world of Tibia, the site would die and disappear.

Will I receive any kind of payment for being a Staff member?
No. Not even in Tibia gold. TibiaNews has been conceived, designed, and programmed by Tibia players because we love the game, and we expect editors of TibiaNews to write their articles for the same reason: because it's fun. You may do it because you want to, exactly as us. The money we get from the banners is immediately reused to pay the Host.

You only want to send an article or Picture This
Just send an e-mail to support@tibianews.net with the article attached, or better, written in the email, and if it's good we will add it promptly. You can check current articles for preferred length -- not too short! If you can provide some photos (great!) send that too!

What should my application look like?
The form and construction of your application is entirely your choice. However, we do expect you to perform some basic tasks, like writing a shortnews and making a Picture of the Day. Read below for more information (Important, required!). Apart from that, I'll list some questions you could ask yourself, in order to make your application as interesting as possible.

In the following post is a sample format which you may want to follow. Of course, the choice is entirely up to you and creativity and originality in applications are appreciated, provided you include the required information. Please note that if you choose to edit your application at any time you should make a note of the changes so that we may reassess them promptly.
