Please find where I actually said someone is stupid. Sure, I say people don't know /things/. This is because they truly don't know /all/ the facts on which the topic they post on. You bring up all these points and yet they're full of holes. People gain spirit by flaming someone? Please.... Give me a new line on that one.

And yeah, you can access the tool, but it doesn't mean you can get anything done. If you are aware of how it works, you then know theres so much crap with it. There like, 7-8 steps you have to do before you can post a POTD. Imagine trying to do that on dial up. You would get to one window, input all the information then go to the next window and wait for such a long time. I'm sorry.

You people forget she also ran the site by herself for a long time too posting POTD's/News before she lost her internet.

I can point every single downfall of this site as a result of Cantinelle's douchebaggery/incompetence - I don't think I need to because I've gone through those arguments so many times before, though. The only exception is the TibiaNews update which was Mijeman's fault; I don't think that's a fair point to flame as something that led TibiaNews down the gutter, though. The site never needed an update, it was just a perk that would've been nice to have.

I don't see how people can still defend her. You can say "She kept the site up for months" or "She's put time and effort into the site" .. Uhh, before I even need to dispute the fact that she's put much effort or done much work, plenty of other people could have (and wanted to) put effort into the site but as a direct result of her actions they couldn't/lost the will to. Now I don't think she's done that much work at all, but let's just say that's a given - she still fucked around with the staff so much that she brought it upon herself.

nobody knows ALL facts but canitnelle, unless you are just an alt. you say we dont know "things" not "all the facts" and in this case you are the one that is wrong. peopel gain spirit by expersin their opinion, whatever it is, and all you do is go around telling everyone to shut up because their all stupid.
Back to the tool topic, if she really has attention span of a squarrel and cant wait for 5 seconds to load a page then maybe she is not fit to lead anything in the first place.
yeah she kicked out pretty much every active staff out there and "ran" a site by herself turning POTD into POTM (Picture of the Month) and posting 2 newsbits every 2 weeks. i dont call that runing a site actively.

In response to Cantinelle's thread on the staff board: For starters, I don't see why you're saying there's no reasoning with Brandon or Etien - Etien has never said a bad word to you and Brandon only made one very fair post in this thread. Oh wait, I do see why; it's because they disagree with you, which makes them someone who can't be reasoned with or talked to. That's nothing new though, you never reasoned with or talked to anyone who disagreed with you - not once in all the time I've been at TibiaNews. I think the two times you've got closest to that was once when you threatened me to stop flaming you deputy editors, and once when you told me I am "the way I am" because of my culture and because I'm a male.

Btw, you defend yourself for not being around recently and what-not, when that isn't why the site died at all. The site died from much more, much before that, but you sidestepped it entirely. Top points!

Cantinelle, I know you think you've come across very humble and honest in that thread but you really haven't, and while you think you can twist what I say (and anyone else who disagrees with you) to make it seem like we're just "trolling", nobody - apart from the likes of Dragonas and what-not who are gonna go with whatever bullcrap they have to, to defend you - buys it. And trust me, I'm not some 'lone voice', most people agree with me - lucky for you, most people are nicer than me.

Stones of wisdom were a reward of the devovorga event. I died twice during that event and used my stone afterwards. Many people sold their stones for insane prices.

Before the head-contact-ship changes hands, it would be great to hear something publicly from Canti. Perhaps provided with a rational explanation we may all change our minds...

Also, on the flip-side, can anybody give me a decent reason why Thuddy should not be given the role?

It's ironic that Cantinelle will defend herself on the internal forums, yet she will not here in public. Why? The answer's quite obvious. There's absolutely no way that she can genuinely justify as to how she's taken this site to the ground, aside from telling the truth. Despite the show she puts on to throw people off, so that she can keep in control here for only god knows what reason, she does not give a flying you-know-what about TibiaNews and hasn't for a very long time. Actions speak louder than words and well, not to be captain obvious, but her actions with this website certainly show.

I'm done being nice, Canti. I used to like you as a person but what you've done here (especially trash talking me as if we somehow never knew each other on the internal forums to demoralize my points) certainly comes to show what you are really like. Disappointing, really. I thought you were better than that.

If Cantinelle continues as the Head Contact for the site; the site will die. Having Cantinelle as the head contact prevents Thuddy from doing a lot of things that can possibly attract new people here.

As everyone else in the thread with even a quarter of a brain (Pretty much everyone but Soleks if you're wondering) I feel there is no doubt anyone but Thuddy should be given the site.

Gillg, it is not helpful to ask questions like that, usually it's not the person that "sleeps with someone" who gets this kind of job. Usually it's the person that either doesn't know how much work has to be done in that position (he/she/it just didn't say "no"), someone that has a "Helfersyndrom" (it's not an official illness, "neurotic need to help" would be best translation, good tutors have that ) or someone who just likes to make websites like that and has the know-how.

So it's possible she just didn't say "no". I hope Thuddy has the know-how and an abiding will to keep up the work. You can't necessarily know in advance who will do a good job. Sometimes the "not no sayers" rise to the occasion.

Thank you to those that took this thread and was constructive on it. Many, however, took it as an opportunity to attack a member at TibiaNews which was actually not intended or wanted.

Canti and I have discussed what's to come and the future of TibiaNews. With that said, I will close this thread and say that changes are coming, and let's all work together and make TibiaNews not only a promoted fansite, but the #1 site players want to visit.
