I've noticed that there have been quite a few requests to get a new TibiaNews map created, and I'm very inclined to agree, for several reasons. Just one that I know of is on TibiaWiki, many NPC pages reference and exact location via the TibiaNews map, and it's extremely helpful.

Purpose
My plans are to create one much like what's there now, not with full graphics, but with the same style that's there now, including underground and above ground maps.

How YOU Can Help
What I need from you, as a user, are all of your map files. I want to compile the most complete map possible, all levels of included. If you're a high level explorer, this is a calling to you! I will assemble a group of helpers that will determine which of the maps are most complete and even paste maps together if needbe. We can't do this without YOU!

What to Do
Refer to the folder that holds your maps, as directed here on Tibia.com, and Zip them using any compression software that you know how to use.

Once you've done this, email the file to mijeman@yahoo.com. Be aware now: If I receive any files that are purposely infected with any malicious software, including but not limited to: viruses, hacks, trojans, you WILL be *deleted* on the spot, no questions asked.

Sounds like a good idea.
I only have maps of the free account areas, so theres not much point of me sending them because I'm sure Xellos or anyone else has them too hehe.

hmm i do have alot of maps (407 files :O ) but they arnt from the most recent update.. so i guess thats no good to use..

That's okay, I'm redoing the whole thing, which means that I need the old areas too. Remember that the current map has very few updates to it.

Ok... which are my map files?

There is only one configuration file, and it's with the extension ".cfg" I believe. The map files are all of the other files.

edit: i just rar'd the files and its only 777kb ;o , while as i select all the map files its like 50mb..
ive unrard it and the map files seem to get out good..

I also got almost all maps except from the latest updates and some quest areas. But I don't got any .map files. I rmemeber seeing alot of those (numbers).map but can't find them now.

with winzip/winrar
select al map files>right click>add to archive or something similar

7zip is an open-source alternative that could make the files lighter. Didn't tested how much, though.

its times like theese i hate my computer i probably had about 60-70 percent of tibia mapet cept for like demon places frost dragons and anymore above level 70 but my computer has been reset like 10 times so no map to share with u sry =/

and you should wait till summer to realease it then u can keep the same maps for a bit longer because its always a BIG change in the summer update but i ya
