The TibiaNews forums are intended to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere for the Tibia community. In order to maintain order and a sense of community, all users should read and consider these conditions while posting. By participating in the forum, users are affirming their willingness to comply with these terms. This memorandum has been created to provide you with information about what you can expect here, what is expected of you, and to answer some questions you may have in your use of the TibiaNews forums.

We would like to direct your attention to the Website Terms of Use Agreement.
GENERAL RULES
1. Be respectful of others at all times
The purpose of the forum is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas. Occasionally, there will be conflicts that arise when people voice opinions. Be courteous when disagreeing with others. It is possible to disagree without being insulting.
2. No posting of personal information
Please respect the privacy of other Tibia players and do not give out information such as phone numbers, email address, and real life addresses.
3. Warnings and bans are not to be discussed on the forum
Questions or comments concerning warnings and bans made by CipSoft representatives are not to be discussed on the forum. We are a supported fansite, but we have nothing to do with bans casted by Gamemasters of CipSoft GmbH. Likewise, discussions regarding moderator actions are not permitted on the forum, aswell as Forum bans. If you have questions regarding a post or thread, please contact support@tibianews.net.
4. Immediate banning from the forum can result from any of the following:
The posting of pornography; discriminatory remarks which are sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive; excessive obscene or vulgar language; posts which discuss or illustrate illegal activity; providing links to sites that contain any of the aforementioned.
5. Spamming is prohibited
Spam is considered to be repetitive posting of the same text again and again or nonsensical posts that have no substance and are often designed to annoy other forum users. If you do not have anything of substance or to contribute, please do not post.
6. Do not post about bugs and exploits
Bugs and exploits should be reported through the proper method by contacting CipSoft. Discussions about unverified problems in the game can cause unnecessary panic in the community. When there is an issue the community needs to be aware of, CipSoft will make an official statement about it.
7. The Tibia Rules Apply!
Since TibiaNews is a Supported Fansite, all the Rules that applies in the standard tibia.com boards applies automatically in the TibiaNews Forum. This includes prohibition to speak about OT/TDA servers! One amendment: We do, however, allow external linking, also to not supported fansites. You know the Internet is a perilous media and is up to you which link to trust.
8. Impersonating another forum user, moderator, volunteer, administrator, TibiaNews or CipSoft employee is strictly prohibited
You are expressly forbidden from impersonating anyone else, including those named above, on the forum.
9. Please avoid using profanity
Using partial masking (such as asterisks or punctuation marks) to bypass the profanity filter is prohibited. Please remember children play the game and read our forum - we do not want them exposed to such language.
10. Post constructively
Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are insulting and rude may be deleted.
11. Your Nickname in the Forum
Nicknames that are sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive; excessive obscene or vulgar; those that illustrate illegal activity, or those intended to impersonate CipSoft employees, TibiaNews Staff (crew of volunteer helpers), or Tibia characters others than yourself, will be immediately deleted.
Disputes which cannot be resolved between forum users and moderators may be arbitrated by the forum administrators. To discuss problems or concerns, please send a private message to one of the editors.
