Two more trustworthy people should be allowed to add content.

While we wait:

It would seem this is necessary in order for this site to become more active. Why the access to potds is in the hands of a person who doesn't seem to have the time or interest to change them?

well what do you expect 1 person can do? :/ ive made the request to be able to do more though :) pending.....

what we do need is journalists though.. like, 1 on every server or so :p to know whats going on in the game.. forums only tell so much and well.. look at the forums :( they tell nothing lately.

I can assure you its not the interest thats lacking our admins for the potd btw! just time.

I wanted to write a shortnews today, but im too tired.. guess ill write it tomorrow at work so i can get some sleep now :p
Thanks all for sticking with us! try spilling some of the glue on others while you're at it ;)

quick comment (I just don't want to take this topic *too* off-topic):

We receive the photos at one email that distributes them to the deputies/editor. All you have to do to submit a photo now is use the form located on our site: http://www.tibianews.net/submitpicture.html

@marbella.net is no longer a TibiaNews email. We use @tibianews.net now (ie. thuddy@tibianews.net). I have received many photos from players that we cannot simply use, whether it be the way they are formatted, or the way that it saves after the file is comressed. I urge you to use don't shrink/stretch map when you are taking a photo. It makes things in one dimension, and to put it simply: easier.

I'd like to apologize for being missing in action for the past month. Real life can throw you curve balls sometimes, and it's hard to avoid them and it's even harder trying to get online to try and figure out the rest of your priorities. Nathyn has been right in letting you know he has been working and was waiting for someone to simply make them published, and I will not deny that.

I can understand (and to somewhat, agree), that some people can see this as a "Cantinelle" all over again, and you have my sincere apologies. It is not my intention to try and drag the site down, to drag you with it, or to just stop updating. I have every intention of keeping this site afloat, and have stated before that when I think things are getting really bad that it may be the time for TibiaNews to end...but I don't think we're there yet (and I don't think I'm being stubborn).

Throughout the next couple of days, I will roll out some new articles and try and bring back certain features of TibiaNews that had stopped being updated since the summer (ie. TibiaScoop, and CoW). We recently published an article with CM Rejana, so maybe you can check that out as well.

Again ... my sincere apologies for the lack of updates on the PoTD, articles, shortnews, and communication. I also apologize for the delay of the winners in that Anniversary contest and will have them for everyone ASAP.

I'm not asking you to stick with me, or to stick around with this site ... but if you do, that would be amazing.

After that, I guess it was a longer response than I had intended. Oh, well...

Take care,
Thuddy

Hiho,

well, all in all I'm glad that Thuddy came and clarified the situation. I visit TibiaNews since 2004 and I indeed don't want it to end, so I'll stick around the site, at least while I'm still around Tibia. :-)

And actually congratulations to Nathyn for showing strength and not giving up.
I was a fansite staff member for sometime and I know how hard it is when there aren't many people collaborating (for n reasons) and you have to get by on your own - even with limited powers.

By the way, I know TibiaNews doesn't use @marbella.com anymore, I always use the form nowadays. But I don't know whether the pictures I send are good or not because almost none of them are published. =/

Last but not least, I'm sure better days will come!

Kind regards,
Rasunik

I always stick around, for better or worse.

A slipping gear could let your M203 grenade launcher fire when you least expect it. That would make you quite unpopular in what's left of your unit. - the Army's magazine of preventive maintenance.

Thank you Thuddy for clearing the situation. Don't worry this doesn't remind me of the Cantinelle era, we get far more infromation from you guys than what we did back then. And some of us will probobly stick around as long as TN exists.
