I thought that I was done with this, but I saw a picture of this new critter, and thought it would be fun to mess around with it a bit. Added some aa, messed around with the shading a bit. Not too much else to say; mine is on the right.

I'm guessing it's a spider, though I suppose it could be some sort of beetle since it has a thorax and only 6 legs.
Edit: I'd like to note that I don't really mean any criticism of Jan by these edits. He could probably benefit from learning some pixel art techniques, but he has a lot of graphics to produce and animate on a limited time table.
