• Signature Guidelines
  Signature graphics are permitted, but must follow a couple guidelines.
  1. All content must be in good taste.
  2. The size limits for signature graphics are as follows: 120 pixels height, 400 pixels width. Maximum file size: 30,000 bytes (not kbytes, this is approximately 29.2 kilobytes).

• I'm new to this forum, what should I do first?
  Firstly, welcome to the TibiaNews Forum! We're very happy to have you visiting. We ask you to please read the rules, introduce yourself, and lastly, have fun here! A list of popular threads can be found at the end of these FAQs.
  
  
• How can I submit a Picture of the Day? How big should it be? Why wasn't it posted?
  Currently, the official email addresses are support@tibianews.net and tibianewseditors@gmail.com. You may also send the image in a private message to an active Deputy Editor. You may private message the group collectively or an active Deputy Editor. The current active Deputy Editors are Thuddy and Elu Longin.
  
  Submitted PotDs should be Tibia-related and preferably around 500x400 pixels. However, as long as it is not a full screen capture we can accommodate most sizes. Remember, the Tibia screen is much bigger than that! If you need a full screen picture, you can use the don't shrink map button. To do so, please follow these following steps:
  
  Options->Graphics->Advanced-> and check: Don't Shrink/Stretch Game Window
  
  Names off would also look good in this mode, as the health bars and the names take some space out of it, you can do this by pressing Ctrl+N twice to hide them, and again to show them.
  
  Do not lose heart if your submission is not posted. It may be used at a later date. If you do not receive a response from the tibianewseditors@gmail.com and think your PotD was good, please private message a Deputy Editor with your submission. If it is still not posted, it might not be what we're looking for. Sorry!
  
  
• How do I submit shortnews?
  To submit a shortnews, you can simply use the hyperlink on our homepage, here. There you will find a short guideline as to how to write them. Please remember to try and stay completely neutral in your reports to TibiaNews. Biased shortnews will be ignored and not posted at all. If you are having trouble submitting your shortnews, feel free to send it to a Deputy Editor.
  
  
• How can I become a moderator?
  The moderator position is very restricted. The editors promote staff members to moderators maybe twice a year, so to become a moderator you have to have a great career as a staff member first, and be very active in the forum.
  
  
• How can I join the TibiaNews Staff?
  To join the TibiaNews Staff, you first must submit an application to the Applications Board. Currently, the board is open for a journalist position. The editors open it once every few months and promote a few of the forum's most dedicated members to the staff. If you would like to join the staff, please keep an eye open for when the board is opened again. But, please remember past contributions also help during this time. The editors do not like to see people just interested for the title, but TRUE dedicated members. Do not private message staff members or editors to join the staff. You will just get a rejection.
  
  
• Found an offensive post or thread? I have some questions about Moderator and Administrator Actions.
  If you have found an offensive post or thread and think it should be removed right away, it's very easy to do! All you have to do is select the “!” icon at the top of the post. After selecting that, enter a short reason as to why you reported it, and a Moderator will take care of it.
  
  More informations about forum punishments and moderator/administrator actions can be found in the Forum Rules.
  
  If you feel you were banned unjustly and are unable to contact the responsible Forum Administrator or Deputy Editor because of an IP ban, please send an email to support@tibianews.net for an explanation. Keep in mind that the actions of Forum Administrator and Deputy Editor are considered final and there is little chance of being unbanned.
  
  If you disagree with a Moderator's actions, send a private message to a Forum Administrator or Deputy Editor to discusss the problem. Do not discuss and TibiaNews bans or Moderator actions on the forum.
