I got all maps on my own, explored 99% of tibia areas, there are two problems though:
1. Each update CIP released introduced some slight modifications, eg. grass in caves ;), so I don't have all of those updated.
2. I need to remove Isle of Solitude first :D

Why do you need to remove isle of solitude? Is it illigal for normal players to know too much about it? Btw, could someone post a good quality screenshot of npc Penny there :)

Even if TN had one first, Tibian Earth is much better and has no bad bugs. And it loads just fine here and I don't have to understand polish to use it either.

Apart from that, not that someone misunderstands me, I don't have anything against a minimap style online map here at TN. Even less if it finally gets revamped with more than ground level and without this bad zooming bug.

PS: What about map files that contain valid "extra terrain" (e.g. inside mountains) which was collected using a level spy tool? Will you include those. If not can you even manually check every minimap for these special additions? Would be a lot of error prone work. :P

PPS: Tibian Earth clearly used a special tool, probably from the Open Tibia project to collect every single tile, also underneath and above current level, that was submitted to the client from the server for their map. Seeing the results, I must say I'm glad they did that. (Some people might not be aware of it, but the server sends us much more map information than just what we see on the screen, although to the minimap only the info that we see on the screen is added.)

Just a question:

Do the map files in the folder contain each of the marks made in the different areas or is that a separate file?

I would like to know because I may be able to help out in sending my completed maps except I have a lot of those marks and it would be a pain to delete them.

Thanks in advance,
Caroline

The map files for a specific area also contain the marks (at the end of the .map file). There's no seperate file for them.

If you don't want Holy Mijeman to see your marks then you have to delete them first. :(

Well it isn't a problem if they were there, just pointless to send them in. Too bad :(
Most of my maps have marks, except for maybe Carlin (because I never go there and they are never updated, especially all the new graphics for the ice islands).

Thanks though!

I tried to send my automaps but when I added the attach hotmail gave an error it couldn't be scanned on viruses because there were to much zipped files.
When is it gonna get finished anyways? In a month? A year?

Looking forward to it :P
