I can agree with some of your statements here, and I haven't been an avid player myself since gamemasters were taken out of the game (nearly two years ago now), so am not intune with a lot that's going on in Tibia now.
However, I am a man of my word and I completely agree with what I said and I still live by it now. If you've spoken with some of the staff here, they know my hesitations with some things and they also know my ideas and the possible future of TibiaNews, how I see it, how they want it, and where it can possibly go from here. TibiaNews had a remake two years ago, and it worked okay, but activity was slow. We came back and got it going again last year, and things dwindled down and died down even in the past few months, with staff being too busy in their real lives (including myself), and it being hard to update on a daily basis. At that same token, I think what we still have is promising, and although I'm not sure where it will go from here, for me, this is going to be at least
my last "hurrah." I don't want to beat a dead horse, you know? So I'm giving it one last shot. Although you (and many others) may consider the horse well dead and beaten completely with nothing left - I'm still willing to give it that one last punch, that one last shot, that one last go. I've now invested about eight years into this site, and I'm not going to just let it go to waste.
A lot of people who made TibiaNews - the staff, the community - yes, are gone. And the forums may not ever be like they used to. But, there's a solution to every problem. When you feel like you're alone and working on something alone, you tend to lose your passion for it. Look at what happened when Elu took control of the site alone. It becomes a tedious task and more of an obligation than fulfilling a passion for a game you love(d). When we came back last year, we had two admins, a full staff, and tons of people willing to help. People got busy. It happens. But if the staff is willing to give it one last shot, so am I.
